Nokia N8 – How Good Is It?

Nokia has now released their new smartphone, the N8, which is sized just like other phones in its class, at a weight of 1335 grams and a size of 114 x 59 x 13mm. You can talk for more than 6 hours straight on the 3G network with its battery, and it will stand up to 7 hours of video playback and 50 hours of music playback, as well as 16 straight days of standby time. There are a variety of colors in which you can get it, from dark gray to orange and everything in between.
The Nokia 8 features the most advanced smartphone software thanks to their operating system, the Symbian^3. There are also great gains in their multi-touch functions such as flick scrolling and pinch zoom in and zoom out. You can also tailor your Nokia N8 Smartphone more to your personality thanks to the many different software applications and add-ons that are now available.
You can expect to have great quality graphics that will be delivered at amazing speeds thanks to the advances Nokia has made in their software. The 2D and 3D graphics will astound you with their clarity and performance. And because of the Symbian^3′s advanced technology, the Nokia N8 can also handle applications much more efficiently so you can perform all the functions you need to with your phone to help your life run a little more smoothly.
The N8 can also be used a a portable entertainment center, able to produce HD quality video and Dolby Surround Sound when you connect the phone to a home theater system. You can also connect to Web TV with the N8, allowing access to such channels as CNN, Paramount, E! and National Geographic through your phone. You also have access to a number of other content through Nokia’s Ovi Store.
You can connect to a number of social networks automatically with the N8 and stay up-to-date with your social circles, as well as the great Web TV features and other Ovi Store apps you can use. You can record in high definition with the 12 megapixel Carl Zeiss camera and you can edit these videos or any pictures you take with the inbuilt photo editing software. The camera is of superb quality with a larger sensor than most compact cameras and a great Xenon flash.
With social networking so popular these days the Nokia N8 has been built with it in mind. You can update your status, tweets, share pictures locations and view live feeds on Twitter and Facebook, all from one application you can access from the homescreen. You can synchronize your calendars on your phone with Facebook and you get free global Ovi Maps, with GPS navigation. The maps and GPS will cover you in over 70 countries around the world.
