Recycling Mobile Phones And Why Its A Good Idea

You probably change your mobile phone very frequently; well if you are anything like me you do. I usually change my phone at least once a year and this means that over the years I have gathered quite a collection. I thought about using my old phones as trade ins against the price of the new ones but I was always offered a price which was very low and just not worth it. This has meant that I just held on to them. I checked last week and found that I had eight mobile phones lying around the house; seven that I will never use again. This all seems like a huge waste so when I read an article about phone recycling it piqued my interest.

To be perfectly honest, I would prefer to donate a mobile phone then to get a pittance for it from a mobile phone shop. I feel happier in the knowledge that I am doing something to help other people and on top of that I don’t feel like I have been cheated. It seems like a great idea to me that these phones are sent to people in parts of the world which are underprivileged. There is nothing functionally wrong with my old phones; I just don’t use them anymore. I have actually included an old iPhone in my donation and this will probably be a nice surprise for someone.

When it comes to donating mobile phones it really isn’t any hardship at all. In fact I would have done this before now had I known about it. And from now on I will be sure to continue doing this. If I am not going to be using my old mobile phones anymore then I don’t see why someone else shouldn’t get teh benefit of them. It really does seem like a good plan to me because I get someone to take my unwanted items and someone else who couldn’t afford a phone gets one courtesy of me. I would suggest to anyone with old mobile phones gathering dust in their homes that they try and donate them too.
