Sony Ericsson Z520a is a clear example of what a good deal could mean for a buyer interested in quality communications. It attracts with two smart features regarding the light system. This does not come as a surprise if we consider the ‘Light up your world’ logo. The light effects will be mostly noticed when there is an incoming call or an unread message waiting in the inbox. Sony Erricson Z520a makes it possible to attach photos for every contact, and the caller will be identified before your opening the phone.

Due to such eye-catching features, the mobile phones market has grown larger. You’ve got lights, sound and visual display for the caller identification, and this is the reason why lots of people have grown too used to such features to give them up for other phone designs.

You can even take Sony Ericsson Z520a as a funny lightweight toy you can enjoy every day. It may appear bulkier as compared to other phones, but that is only because it is a fold model. Once you unfold it, you will see how thin it actually looks. The screen has a resolution of 128×160 pixels and it uses the new TFT technology (Thin Film Transistor) which is very similar to the LCD frame in the use of liquid crystals. In case you care about the color choice, then you should know that there are three colors that it comes in: new blue, chalky white and sandy gray. All three designs look elegant, and it’s just a matter of personal preference.

Other features of Sony Ericsson Z520a of interest to a buyer are the memory and the battery performance. The producer brags that the phone offers 16 MB memory, yet the free memory in reality may be much less than that depending on how the phone has been configured. The battery may last up to 9 hours talk time and up to 400 hours standby time. You can learn about other phone features from various retailers that advertise the product or by checking the official web page; most often you’ll come across the music option, the connectivity feature, the organizer and several other advantages of Sony Ericsson Z520a.

Maybe Sony Ericsson T700 is a phone that tricks one with its heavy looks, but the 10 mm slim side prove that it is definitely a false appearance. This mobile combines a really affordable price with great technological features. The telephone would qualify as medium on a first glance, but one cannot deny the fact that it looks stylish, not to mention that the menus and the features are all you can wish for in terms of data processing and interface. Many people have bought Sony Ericsson T700 not as much for its great looks as for the great price it comes at.

The first things to discuss with regard to Sony Ericsson T700 are the key features as there are more advantages to owning one than disadvantages. We are talking about a slim phone that happily combines the light weight with the solid look. The telephone is available in color variants such as black on red, black on silver and shining silver. In fact much of the elegance of the device comes from the aluminum finishes. This telephone also has a decent media center, a fast photo browser, location services, smart dialing, a reliable battery cover release mechanism as well as finger print resistant covers.

You may want to also check the quad-band GSM, the Bluetooth, the camera, the memory, the radio, the mouse pointer and the browser options. If we consider the maximum talk time, this will not be higher than 9 hours and 30 minutes, although in standby mode, the phone can last up to 370 hours.

There are some downsides to Sony Ericsson T700 as well, and we cannot let them pass unnoticed. Among these weaker spots the most significant seems to be the following: the 25 MB size of inbuilt memory, no auto-focus; it has a tin-can-like sound from the feeble and hollow loudspeaker and no office document viewer.

The company’s product presentation refers to Sony Ericsson T700 as a head turner with the sleek and shiny elegance for a mid-range price. It seems that those who are keen on design peculiarity and perfection, will surely be satisfied with this phone. If you are an older Sony Ericsson user and you may have worked with other models, such as T610 for instance, T700 will win you over. With the Sony Ericsson T700 the fast access to various media and the speed of communication are guaranteed all in one. It is not too much to say that the phone behaves well for business and personal use.

Sony Ericsson S500i is a slide phone that boasts to have been inspired by nature itself. The company that has created it describes this product as a surprise phone that relies on a good camera which helps its owner take pictures very fast, easily and at a pretty high quality. The system that the phone relies on allows the user to connect the device to the computer and send any of the taken photos to a blog. The video, data and picture files download is carried on very fast thanks to the kit available for Sony Ericsson S500i packages.

For people who are after a lightweight device, this mobile will make a great choice with its 94 grams. It is also very thin and the screen promises high quality images judging buy the TFT technology and the numerous colors it can display (262.144). The Sony Ericsson S500i design is available in three color variants with inviting names: spring yellow, mysterious green, ice purple and contrasted copper. If we were to make an impression from the look, then we may identify some nature-inspiration to justify the commercials.

Unlike other models, Sony Ericsson S500i does not brag with a 16 MB memory but only with a 12 MB one. However it brings along one other advantage and that is the Memory Stick Microâ„¢ (M2â„¢) which allows for additional storage of up to 2 GB. There is also a good battery performance too, as recharges are pretty rare for moderate speakers. When the phone is in standby mode, there is a 370-hour life for the battery. Consequently, from this point of view, Sony Ericsson S500i is quite promising allowing you to forget that a mobile phone requires recharging.

Sony Ericsson S500i also provides modern and attractive features specific to advanced technology. The camera, the 3D games, video viewing and streaming the media player and many other traits make Sony Ericsson S500i a very tempting offer for buyers. Bluetooth technology is also incorporated but its necessity is pretty limited because of the possibility to use the USB data transfer extensively.

No doubt, the phones that will follow Sony Ericsson S500i will be a lot smarter and more interesting for the user, yet, it is interesting to think of what designers may come up with in terms of novelty.

Sony Ericsson P990i is one of the many cellular devices produced by a company with an international reputation in electronics and communications. As it happens with most other electronic devices, there are pros and cons about this product that should be carefully analyzed before going shopping.

According to both experts and users Sony Ericsson P990i is one of the best of Sony Ericsson smart phones. The sleek design and the QWERTY keyboard speak of it as relying on one of the latest technologies in mobiles manufacturing. The business card scanner, the video recording option with the Wi-Fi networks, the 3G/UMTS platforms, the music player, the good photo camera, make by far the best advertising means for this cellular.

The weak part of Sony Ericsson P990i can be identified in the rather bulky size, the spicy price and the too small keyboard. Thus, although the perfect choice for tech-minded users, the price of this telephone is by far out of the reach of an average buyer.

Sony Ericsson P990i phone has a memory stick PRO Duo and its installed flash memory is of 64 MB. There are lots of things this design provides for messaging/data services, and here we refer to WAP 2.0, email applications, messaging, voice mail, Internet browser, JAVA applications and many others.

The phone also is also jam-packed with a lot of features in the cellular area such as WCDMA (UMTS)/GMS technology, WCDMA (UMTS)/GSM 900/1800/1900, vibrating alert, automatic redial, call divert, call barring, call hold, call timer, caller ID, call waiting, volume control, internal antenna, ringer control, conference call capability, computer link, speakerphone, voice recorder, call transfer, polyphonic ringer, melody composer and so on.

The Infrared, the IEE 802.11b, the Radio Data Service and the Bluetooth are several other additional characteristics available with this modern smart phone. Music lovers also benefit from the AAC, MP3 digital audio standards of Sony Ericsson P990i. Besides, you should consider the talk time of up to 540 minutes and the standby time of up to 400 hours. It also has a very audible battery alert.

Ever since Sony Ericsson P990i was first announced by the company in its concept form, it has incited many high-tech interested users and professionals who need or want to be up-to-date with the latest trends. But, as we’ve already said, the phone is also a budgetary challenge for many of those interested in the purchase.

A combined production from Sony and Ericsson Corporations, Sony Ericsson phones have conquered the market over the last decade. What resulted from the companies’ merger was a combination of technological advancement and experience in the field of telecommunications.

Sony Ericsson phones are pretty well known all over the world and the company that produces them reached position number five among cellular manufacturers in 2008. The types of Sony Ericsson phones that have been released on the market since the first year of the venture between the two producers have been quite varied and also complex. In many countries, this company is widely appreciated, Sony Ericsson phones being perhaps the ones that have originally opened their markets for mobile phone interest in buyers and users.

At present, Sony Ericsson phones are developing from the point of view of certain categories such as camera and photo taking, music listening, web browsing and email sending and receiving for business purposes, design and so on. Many types or models of these mobile devices are also created for the less prosperous areas of our society so that everyone may afford a phone. The budget oriented phones is still very functional and full of reliable features, packed in a very attractive and practical design.

All in all, there are five lines or series of Sony Ericsson phones that have been promoted along the years. The Walkman or W series combines portable music device with the communication facilities. The Cyber-shot line, or the K series focuses more on the camera quality which is rendered by the Xenon flash and the auto-focus function besides many others. The Bravia line of Sony Ericsson phones is specially designed for Bravia network while the UIQ series has won its reputation for its touch screens. Last but not least, there is also the Xperia series that has introduced a new trend on the market of mobiles phones that can support the Window Mobile operating system.

To conclude, Sony Ericsson phones correspond to the demands and pretensions of the 21st century user combining a very careful and exquisite design with very rewarding technical features. Leadership in terms of mobile phones that rely on newer and newer technology is hard to win and then maintain. Hence, Sony Ericsson phones seem to be able to keep up both with practical and eccentric needs.

Most of us have difficulties at remembering cell phone names, because every company has its own way of denominating products. Sony Ericsson items for instance rely on a combination of letters and figures as a name for their mobiles. In an example like K750i, the capital letter represents the series of the Sony phones, while the remaining characters have each an attached meaning. Then, the next figure represents the subcategory, the third defines progression from the last released item while the final character is either an 8 or a 0. The closing specifications also tell something about Sony phones.

Whether an 8 or a 0, such characters in the names of Sony phones refer to the product peculiarity when produced for a foreign market. Or, a number can set apart Sony phones distinguished by features but identical in design. The lowercase letter stands for the market for which the Sony phones models are produced: thus, there will be ‘a’ for the America, ‘c’ for China and ‘i’ for the international market. The i-mode branding is designated by the ‘im’ particle present in the title of the phone.

There are other ways of naming Sony phones, since more recent formats or design follow a three character pattern such as the P1i for instance. The series of the phone is represented by the initial, the number tells the development from previous models while the lowercase letter indicates the market. Code names are also attributed to Sony phones particularly to those that are in the process of development or improvement. Most such names are taken from the female tennis player for which Sony Ericsson is a sponsor. You can find lists with such code names on all sorts of web pages if you are interested in the topic.

Although lots of people would find it a lot easier to understand the differences between various Sony phones just by looking at their names, many buyers don’t know how to interpret such information. Retailers will always have a large gallery of products including older models as well as the latest, and people keep guiding their choices after design and price tag. In fact, design comes before technical improvement in most of the new models launched by various producers.

Belonging to the sliders’ category, Sony Ericsson W850i, brought a major innovation of design as compared to former models. A large screen and an included Walkman, with these two features, Sony Ericsson W850i made good sales. While buyers who have an idea of what a phone should be from the technical point of view, make a more serious selection, less informed users are most often influenced by the look of the phone. Available either white or black, this phone seems to give a touch of elegance to the user; the main impression comes from the Walkman logo written in gold-plated letters.

We could say that the beauty of Sony Ericsson W850i is not superficial, as it is an overall well built phone. The modern touch comes from the light effect that pulses on the keypad following the music beat. On the inside, the music player is excellent, rendering very quality music and an impeccable stereo sound in the FM radio too. If you buy the promotional phone package, you’ll get an incorporated Mega Bass feature and a stereo headset to match. Music lovers really enjoy this mobile device thanks to its 1GB memory stick Pro Duo, which means that the phone can store around 250 tracks and still work well.

The software incorporated in Sony Ericsson W850i makes the management of the device more than user friendly. The drag and drop operation allows an easy and quick file transfer through an USB cable. The Walkman software also enables the music download directly to the phone at a very high speed. One further noteworthy feature is the TrackID. If you listen to a song on the radio but do not know who plays it, this piece of software helps you track the album and the artist. A really incredible feature!

Sony Ericsson W850i comes with a built in camera that renders very good quality pictures, using both the zoom and the digital flash. The video camera allows one to make 3G video calls or to record. There is no autofocus included in the design, which makes the K800i model superior to Sony Ericsson W850i. Despite this minor flaw, it seems that this Walkman phone will be difficult to match in terms of quality. A less expensive non-3G version of Sony Ericsson W850i is also available for anyone interested in getting a bargain. Consider both variants carefully and see which suits your needs best!

The design of the Sony phones changed radically with the release of Sony Ericsson T610 in 2003. This model was among the first to include joystick navigation, a color screen, bluetooth technology and a built-in camera. It caught so well on the market that it made huge sales climbing up in the top of popularity for the mobiles in its generation. Still produced, Sony Ericsson T610 can only be purchased in one of the following colors: Abyss Blue, Volcanic Red and Aluminum Haze. Although many customers have complained that the aluminum color is too frequent, this variant still remains popular.

Even to this day, the most frequently sold color of Sony Ericsson T610 remains Aluminum haze. In all phone designs, the silvery keypad is a standard. The phone has an incorporated camera, it can use the WAP for Internet connections, it uses polyphonic ring tones and Java formats. Since the design and the technical features are somehow outdated, this is not a phone that can combine a speaker or built-in hands-free capabilities. In many opinions, Sony Ericsson T610 proves a pretty sophisticated phone despite the more modern alternatives. Besides the design variations between the American and the European models, the internal features are identical.

One major criticism for Sony Ericsson T610 is related to the unexpected turn on of the phone because of the joystick. This could lead not only to premature battery wear but also to some people listening to unwanted conversations. The camera is also pretty slow and the quality of the pictures is reduced. If we are to judge the cell performance by the present day standards, Sony Ericsson T610 is definitely obsolete and mediocre, yet for the time when it was produced, expectations couldn’t have been higher.

Last but not least, Sony Ericsson T610 enables voice commands, and, it comes pretty cheap if we consider the main features and advantages it brings. Moreover, there are no useless features, since each and every available item within the phone system aims at making the usage an enjoyable experience. Therefore, in case you want to buy an older but good phone model, you can definitely go for Sony Ericsson T610 without being disappointed. However, it’s not wise to take any word of advice literally without testing the phone in the first place.

Sony Ericsson W800i was the first mobile in the Sony series to incorporate Walkman capabilities. The new innovative design enhanced the Bluetooth features, USB connectivity and Infrared, all part of a very trendy look. This phone model was released in 2005, and although lots of new features were added to more modern phones ever since, Sony Ericsson W800i is the one that started it all. The external memory capacity of the device is of only 2G, but we have to consider the period when it was designed and produced. For the release moment, such memory size was enough.

The phone camera has autofocus, a flash and video recording features. Moreover, the playback time for the device when operated in the music mode is of thirty hours which definitely means a lot if we consider the life extent of modern batteries. In fact, you don’t have to recharge the battery of Sony Ericsson W800i too often if you are a moderate user that keeps the phone on standby for a serious amount of time. The producer indicates a 400-hour functional battery for standby and a 9-hour period for talk-time. Sony Ericsson W800i can be still purchased from many retailers, and at more accessible prices than a year or two ago.

A minor disadvantage of this phone is the fact that it relies on a joystick for memory navigation. Lots of users claim that this is more susceptible to damage and in time functionality problems tend to appear. Sony Ericsson W800i can be also very prone to wearing, scratching and minor breaks in time particularly if it is not treated carefully. Sometimes dust may get inside the display ruining the visibility on the screen. Yet, such inconveniences are pretty rare and have not prevented Sony Erricsson W800i from making great sales.

A very unfair competition for Sony Ericsson W800i is the Music Mobile W800c, produced in China. There is a striking similarity between the two models, and it is beyond any doubt that the Chinese design pays tribute to the W800i series. The quality of this fake model is doubtful and Sony Ericsson W800i in its original variant is definitely superior. Should you come across this item while trying to find a suitable phone for you, it is advisable to consider more than just the price tag before getting it. Otherwise, you may waste your money on a poor mobile device that will not last you long enough!

Which is the best Sony Ericsson phone to purchase? The choice of a cell phone is easy or difficult depending on how you see the various capabilities included in the majority of the newer designs. From a theoretical perspective, shoppers will not fully understand the hi-tech features that are jam-packed in the modern design of cells. The ever changing standards of appreciation apply to the various Sony Ericsson phone models, but we should not forget the fact that the list of features makes the only viable criterion for mobile phone purchase.

In order to be able to determine which Sony Ericsson phone suits your needs, it is a good idea to compare not only features but also price categories as well. Thus, try to learn all sorts of technical details for an item belonging to a certain price group. You should look for camera and radio, WAP browser, GSM modem, bluetooth connectivity, USB PC connectivity, the size of the internal memory, the presence or lack of expandable external memory and so on. Moreover, the Sony Ericson phone ought to match private or business needs as well, because more capabilities are necessary for different work-related tasks.

A fresh market impression was created by the introduction of the Sony Ericsson phone with Walkman branded handsets incorporated. This kind of devices are pretty accessible and besides their affordable nature, they also bring excellent music rendering quality. Many market sectors felt the impact of this innovation, but youngsters have been the first to make this Sony Ericsson phone popular. The battery life is also important for the matter, because the music player or the radio can eat quite a lot of it. Moreover, buyers often neglect the importance to transfer data from the phone to a PC, and are often dissatisfied when they need such a features but they can’t use it.

The standard media manager that you may have grown used to on average Sony Ericsson phone models has been replaced by a new version in the recently released designs. All the phones produced by Sony Ericsson using the Java Platform 8 or A200 Platform include an XMB media manager that has been so far integrated in a very select group of mobile devices. With the smart phone generation, another door has been opened towards the future with the use of the Windows Mobile Operating System into the Sony system.
